Description
Amarula is a cream liqueur from South Africa. It is made with sugar, cream and the fruit of the African marula tree which is also locally called the elephant tree or the marriage tree. Flavors of vanilla bean, creamsicle orange, Italian nougat Torrone, and a hint of toasted hazelnuts predominate. Finish: The predominant nutty, citrusy, and creamy flavors hang on, but the finish isn’t too coating or cloying.
Amarula is a cream liqueur made from the unique blend of marula fruit spirit and stabilized cream. Unlike any other cream liqueur, Amarula is not made from a whisky or brandy base but a fruit spirit base. Amarula is best served neat over ice, but can also be enjoyed within a cocktail or indulgent recipe.
